.<\/span>begin<\/span><\/strong> Application<\/h2>\n

When you apply for your .<\/span>begin<\/span><\/strong> <\/span>\u00a0course you can use the same application form to apply for a <\/span>Train to Teach<\/b> course. <\/span>Just make sure the Train to Teach course you select starts after your <\/i><\/b>.<\/span>begin <\/span><\/strong><\/span>course has finished e.g. If your .begin course ends in November you can apply for a Train to Teach course that starts in January.<\/i><\/b><\/h4>\n

Course prerequisites<\/h3>\n

Applicants must:<\/strong><\/p>\n

    \n
  1. Complete the application form themselves and not completed by someone else on their behalf in order to be accepted.<\/li>\n
  2. Be employed by a school or work within an educational setting on a regular basis\u00a0or<\/em>\u00a0be the parent or carer of a child still in education. Please note School Governors and those who volunteer regularly in a school (including parent volunteers) are eligible to apply.\u00a0You are also eligible to apply if you have an interest in supporting your own wellbeing even if you do not work in an educational setting or do not have a child in education. If you are unsure whether you are eligible please email enquiries@mindfulnessinschools.org<\/a>.<\/strong><\/li>\n
  3. Be attending this course willingly, by personal choice. This course requires active participation and commitment and if you are here because your employer\/school has mandated it please let us know via email enquiries@mindfulnessinschools.org<\/a>.<\/li>\n
  4. Be over 18 years of age<\/li>\n
  5. Be able to commit to the dates and times of the online sessions<\/li>\n
  6. Have access to a computer or laptop with a webcam and have a good broadband speed capable of running Zoom, click here<\/a> to check technical requirements.
    \nNB: Participants will be expected to keep webcams on<\/strong> during the course.<\/li>\n
  7. Understand that this course is not intended as a therapeutic intervention. Should you have any concerns regarding your mental or physical health, please see your GP or other medical advisors.\u00a0 A member of the MiSP team may contact you to discuss your application and ensure this is the right time for you to be doing the course.<\/li>\n
  8. Whilst .begin<\/strong>\u00a0is designed for participants who have\u00a0not\u00a0previously taken part in an eight-week secular mindfulness training course, applicants who have already done an 8-week course and wish to take .begin<\/strong> as a refresher are still very welcome.<\/li>\n
  9. Understand that .begin<\/strong> does not<\/u><\/strong> involve training to teach mindfulness to young people or adults. It is an introduction to mindfulness for the purpose of supporting participants in terms of their own understanding of mindfulness and general wellbeing.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n
